1) This image does a great job displaying my commonplace entry in a few ways. The show that this picture comes from is "The Moment of Truth." This show aired only one season on television which probably was all it deserved. The show consisted of contestants who participated on the show were posed questions while hooked up to a lie detector machine. For each question the contestant answered correctly according to their true beliefs, he/she moved on to the next round, more money labeled with each round. This show summarizes my commonplace essay because even if you are a winner on this show, you are most definitely a loser. Contestants were divorced from, broken up with, and turned away from their families after answering many extremely difficult questions. This image appeals to pathos because of the question that is posed on the wall as well as the intense situation both the host and contestant seem to be sitting in.

Picking an image is much more difficult than making a verbal argument. Images can be viewed in different ways by different people. Not only this, but in picking an image, showing irony, sarcasm and other complex ideas, is extremely difficult to show in an image. My commonplace is focused on an idea of irony; because of this, searching of an image was much more difficult than putting it in words.
